Are You Running on Empty? Here’s How to Get Through the Day on No Sleep…

If you’re reading this through bleary eyes after another rough night, I see you.
Sleep deprivation is brutal and when you’re in it, it can feel never-ending. While you are working on improving your little one’s sleep, here are some simple ways to survive the day:

1️⃣ Lower Your Expectations
Today is not the day for a deep clean or life admin. Keep things simple and focus on the absolute essentials.
2️⃣ Get Outside for 10 Minutes
Even if it’s just standing in the garden with a coffee, the daylight will help reset your body clock and boost your energy.
3️⃣ Eat for Energy, Not Just Survival
It’s tempting to grab sugary snacks for a quick fix but protein and healthy fats will give you more lasting energy (have some treats though!)
4️⃣ Power Nap If You Can
10-20 minutes can help recharge you even if you just lie down with your eyes closed while the baby naps.
5️⃣ Let Go of the Guilt
If you need an extra episode of Bluey to get through the day, do it. Your baby needs a happy, functioning parent more than anything else.
6️⃣ Ask for Help (Actually ask!)
Even 30 minutes of rest while someone else holds the baby can make a difference. If you have help available, take it.
7️⃣ Know That This Won’t Last Forever
I promise you, sleep can and will get better. You’re doing an incredible job, even if it doesn’t feel like it right now. 💜
