Safe Sleep And Trusting Your Instincts As A Parent…

Safe Sleep & Trusting Your Instincts as a Parent

When it comes to your baby’s sleep, there so much advice out there. From sleep training to sleep position, it can feel so overwhelming. I remember feeling this when I had my daughter. But one thing you should always trust is your instincts.

Why?

Your instincts are there for a reason!
As a parent, you know your baby better than anyone else. If something doesn’t feel right or if you have a gut feeling, trust it!

Safe sleep practices are non-negotiable but your comfort matters too. It’s essential to follow safe sleep guidelines (like placing baby on their back to sleep, keeping their sleep space clear and avoiding overheating) but how you make those guidelines work for your family is up to you. If something feels off, like your baby not settling well in their crib or you’re unsure about using a particular sleep product, always trust what feels safest for your child.

Listening to your instincts can help create a sleep routine that works for your baby too.
If you feel your baby isn’t getting the rest they need or you’re struggling with naps, trust your gut and seek advice from a sleep professional. And sometimes just small adjustments to their environment or routine might be all it takes.

Remember safe sleep is about balance
It’s not just about following the rules, it’s about doing what works best for your family and keeping your baby safe and comfortable.

If you ever have concerns about your baby’s sleep, trust your instincts and seek help.

I’m here to help guide you and answer any questions you might have! 💜
